More About This Group

If you have experienced individual therapy and are looking to advance your work to a place of flourishing, process group may be right for you. This experiential opportunity provides a therapeutic space to explore relational dynamics and attachment patterns that affect the way we show up in relationships and respond to the world in which we live.

Our brains and bodies are wired for connection, yet so many people struggle with feeling isolated as if no one truly knows or understands them.  Not only does group therapy provide an environment where individuals can connect with others who share similar challenges, but it is a secure base from which participants can experience the healing power of being seen for who they really are.

This ongoing process group is for adult clients who are motivated to build a community together marked by openness, empathy, and growth.

Ends: Ongoing through June (maybe longer)

  • $235 50-min intake session*

FAQs

  • Process groups focus on the here-and-now and the goal is to create a safe enough space for social practicing. These groups are a place for group members to not only benefit from peer support and to learn how to better cope, but to help them grow. As therapists, we facilitate personal growth in this group by modeling healthy communication, giving in-the-moment feedback, and providing a general structure to the sessions that encourages group members to be themselves, self-reflect, and practice new ways of relating to others.

  • This group is great for any adults looking to take their therapeutic work to a more experiential and practical level. More specifically, group members often enter the group struggling with concerns such as social anxiety, depression, general anxiety, stress, loneliness, self-identity, relationship conflict, and/or life transitions. This group complements individual therapy well and can also stand on its own.

  • Each session will begin with a mindfulness exercise to enable the best work to be done and to model attunement and regulation. When a new member joins, they will have the opportunity to share about themselves in a structured storytelling practice and the leaders will facilitate a process of members reflecting and responding using the SIFT-B model, which builds skills in self-awareness and regulation of feelings and body sensations. After each member has had the opportunity to tell their story, the group will move into a phase of general sharing and processing; members will continue to receive input from leaders as they hone their skills.
